Welcome to the boudoir style guide. Choosing what to wear can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. The right outfit isn’t about trends or rules—it’s about what helps you feel confident, comfortable, and fully yourself.

I’ve curated a collection of outfit ideas that flatter a wide range of body types and photograph beautifully. As you explore the gallery, you’ll find inspiration along with direct links to pieces you may want to shop.

During your shoot, we aim to capture 3 distinct looks:

A casual outfit that feels effortlessly comfortable, a fun and playful ensemble that showcases your personality, and a daring choice that pushes you outside of your comfort zone

This look should be simple yet sexy, often featuring more clothing than the other outfits. Think of pieces that highlight your natural beauty while keeping things understated and elegant. A cozy oversized sweater, a classic button-down shirt, or a delicate lace bralette paired with soft lounge pants are perfect choices. These outfits offer subtle hints of allure while maintaining a relaxed and effortless vibe

This look embodies what you typically think of when it comes to a boudoir outfit. It’s about embracing your flirtatious and spirited side with matching bra and underwear sets or a stylish bodysuit. To add a touch of personality, consider pairing these with a leather or jean jacket. These outfits are designed to highlight your confidence and playful nature, making them perfect for showcasing your unique style and energy

This look is all about stepping out of your comfort zone while still feeling appealing and confident. It’s the outfit (or lack thereof) that pushes your boundaries in a thrilling and empowering way. Think leather pants paired with a striking top, or even just a sheet artfully draped to highlight your curves. These choices are meant to celebrate your boldness and showcase your adventurous spirit, creating unforgettable and captivating images.

✔️ Boudoir Outfit Checklist (Keep It Simple)

Start with what you already own

  • Black bra + black underwear = always a win

  • Leather jacket or jean jacket for instant edge

  • Button-down shirt, sweater, or oversized tee? Yep.

Lace & sheer—know your comfort level

  • Lace and see-through usually mean freeing the nip

  • If that feels like too much, choose lace on sleeves, backs, or legs instead

  • Sexy does not mean uncomfortable

Accessories: only if they’re you

  • Love bold or funky jewelry? Bring it

  • Don’t normally wear jewelry? Skip it—no need to buy anything new

Shoes are optional (really)

  • Heels are great if you love them

  • Combat boots, Converse, barefoot—also perfect

  • Confidence > footwear

Final rule

  • If it feels authentic to you, it will photograph beautifully

🚫 What Not to Bring

❌ Anything that doesn’t feel like you
If you bought it just for this shoot and already feel awkward in it, skip it. Forced outfits show—confidence can’t be styled.

❌ Clothes that don’t fit right now
This session is about celebrating you as you are today, not squeezing into something that pulls, digs, or needs constant adjusting.

❌ Complicated straps, corsets, or pieces you can’t move in
If it takes 10 minutes to get into or you can’t sit, breathe, or relax in it, it’s going to distract from the experience.

❌ Garters and thigh-highs
They almost never stay in place—and when they do, they’re usually too tight or too loose. Constant adjusting pulls you out of the moment.
What we do love instead: waist-high stockings or fishnets. They’re flattering, comfortable, and photograph beautifully.

❌ Accessories you never wear in real life
If you don’t normally wear jewelry, hats, or heels—don’t force it. Authentic always photographs better.

❌ Outfit overload
You don’t need a suitcase full of options. A few well-chosen pieces > ten outfits that all feel “meh.”
